Based in the United Kingdom, Catherine Ivill has been working as a football photographer since 2006. Having had no previous photography experience, Catherine spent 18 months learning the trade covering the Welsh Premier League before stepping up to League Two football

Several UEFA Champions League Finals, European Championships and FIFA World Cups later her hard work paid off, and Catherine became a staff photographer for Getty Images.

After nearly 7 years, Catherine left to help friend and colleague Matthew Ashton manage AMA Sports Photo Agency

She still enjoys covering grass roots football and has a firm belief that shooting the lower leagues is just as important as covering the top flight 'glory' games.
